Mobile Suites Fifth Wheels

A Mobile Suites Fifth Wheels is no cheap investment. Once you have purchased this extravagant RV, you’re going to want to protect your vehicle at all costs – from keeping the interior spotlessly clean, to getting regular tune-ups and any other maintenance your RV will need.

Many RVs, when purchased new or through a dealership, will come with a warranty, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t care for your RV on your own. As long as you don’t do anything that will void your warranty, taking care of your trailer is going to keep it in optimal condition and it will last longer than you had ever imagined.

Follow the Warranty Past its Date

The warranty is there for a reason: to ensure that you get the most out of your vehicle by keeping it in good condition. Follow the warranty by all means necessary, and even after it has ended, continue to follow the steps on there. If you have no warranty, speak with a dealer about what needs to be done to your RV for it to last a long time.

For example a warranty will probably list things that need to be done periodically to your RV. Oil changes, filter changes, replacing coolant and hydraulic filters; all of these actions must be addressed every so often. If your oil isn’t changed or your air filters have been untouched for five years, something is bound to go wrong, which will end up costing you thousands of dollars instead of $200.

Take Preventative Steps

If you’re too unfamiliar with vehicles to do anything on your own, avoid internal repairs and take preventative actions you’re aware of.

This can include simple things, such as inspecting your RV’s roof to make sure there are no leaks or openings for water to seep through. Some of the forest river vibe extreme lite travel trailers, for instance, have carpet in them. The cost of sealing openings in your roof is going to be significantly less than the cost of repairing water damage to the interior carpet.

You can also make it a rule to only use biodegradable toilet paper, so that your wastewater system doesn’t get clogged; check your tires just as you would on your own vehicle, including tightening lug nuts; and remove the RV battery during the months that it isn’t being used. It may seem like these steps won’t do a lot, but any way that you can protect your investment, you should.

Caring for your RV is just as important as caring for your car or your home and with a few steps, can be done easily and safely.
